YouTuber, 28, dies after spending 80 days in coma from horror crash -

Young YouTube star Tiago Eugenio has tragically died at just 28 years old after being in a coma for almost three months.

The influencer was seriously injured in a horrific car crash at the end of June. Tiago Eugenio was an up-and-coming YouTube star who was pulled from the tragic wreckage earlier in the summer. His devastated mother has paid tribute to her son on Instagram.

The Portuguese native was found unconscious at the crash site in the early hours of the morning. The accident took place on the A22 in Boliqueime, Loulé.

The 28-year-old was then rushed to Faro hospital for urgent health care, where he was put in intensive care in a coma.

He had been fighting for his life for 80 days when he sadly died on Thursday morning, The Sun reports.

Tiago Eugenio, the YouTube star’s mom, broke the tragic news to his followers. She paid tribute to the influencer, who she hailed as a “great warrior”.

‘It destroys my heart’

His mom wrote: “One of the things I always asked God for was that I would never have to go through pain like this.

“I want to inform you that my love, my Tiago, left this morning. He fought for 80 days.

“A great warrior, but God wanted it that way. I can only accept it with enormous pain, which destroys my heart.

“To you my beautiful love, mother just wants you to leave in peace.

“You will definitely have your grandmothers waiting for you, a part of me goes with you.

“I will love you forever. One day we will meet.”

Some of his 160,000 followers on the social media site have paid tribute to the star.

One fan wrote: “Rest in peace, may God receive you with wide open arms”

A second added: “Rest in peace my angel 🕊”
